To modernize the existing melter extensively, a completely new regulation and control system including a master process control system was installed during continuous production in cooperation between Inn Crystal and Schlemmer Prozess Systeme (SPS), Deggendorf, in summer 1995. Jointly, a 85 page product requirement specification was recorded which served as the basis of contract. For this, Inn Crystal gave all the relevant data and SPS worked out the product requirement specification in detail.
Owing to Inn Crystal´s high standards in glass quality and in providing an absolutely reliable melting process even for continuously changing products, the choice for a regulation system with a process control system was second to none.
